From Calpe to Forna and back
Start your adventure at the Vuelta Turistica headquarters and set off at a steady pace towards the Poggio, where you’ll gain the first 250 meters of elevation for the day. Enjoy the gradual climb and the beautiful views. As you reach Benissa, feel the fresh wind on your face while cycling through the picturesque village of Senija.
Next, a scenic ride awaits you to Xaló, where you can see the imposing road of Coll de Rates on your left, a popular climb among cyclists. Continue your journey towards Orba, then head towards the charming town of Pego. At this point, you’ve covered around 50 kilometers and are ready for a short break in the idyllic Forna. Refill your water bottle and prepare for the second part of the ride.
Flat kilometers along the coast towards Dénia
From Forna, the terrain becomes flatter, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely ride along the coastline towards Denia. This section offers the perfect opportunity to cover some flat kilometers and take in the beautiful coastal scenery. Between Dénia and Xabia, a challenging climb awaits, where you’ll conquer another 200 meters of elevation. After this effort, head towards Benitachell for a short climb, then continue towards Moraira. Here, you’ll have the chance to ride on a beautiful, undulating road, ideal for concluding your ride.
Return to Vuelta Turistica from Moraira.
The final kilometers back to Vuelta Turistica are a delightful cooldown, allowing you to reflect on the day’s efforts. Once back, you can relax and unwind with a refreshing drink or a nutritious recovery shake. This route offers a perfect mix of challenging climbs, peaceful coastal roads, and picturesque villages, ideal for the passionate cyclist who enjoys variety.
